On October 30th at 12.30pm, Blackthorn Focus, in collaboration with City PR firm KTZ Communications, is running a smallcap access event. Two AIM-quoted companies will feature: CERILLION PLC and SIGMA CAPITAL.

The event will run as two company presentations, either side of a business lunch.

Blackthorn Focus is expecting AIM-quoted billing technology firm Cerillion to update the market on trading again in October this year.

Cerillion primarily serves the telecom sector. The company joined AIM in March 2016. The most recent results from Cerillion showed a 10% increase in revenues and a 25% rise in adjusted EPS.

Cerillion is dividend paying, with a net cash balance at the last balance sheet date. The dividend to shareholders was increased 8% with the May interims.

This is an international AIM tech operator with a commendable record. The company will be represented at the meeting by Louis Hall, CEO and Oliver Gilchrist, CFO. In aggregate these two executives own nearly 33% of issued shares in Cerillion.

Sigma Capital is a provider of PRS (Private Rented Sector) housing. The company has come up fast, with book value per share increasing from 5.5p at the end of 2013 to 40.7p in December 2016. Sigma recently completed the successful £250m IPO of The PRS REIT, an investment trust now managed by Sigma Capital.

The PRS REIT IPO was greeted by Sigma Capital CEO Graham Barnet thus: "It transforms Sigma's model, giving the Company control over a pool of capital to deliver, with our partners, a substantial pipeline of PRS opportunities."

Sigma Capital has positioned itself as a pure play on a new type of housebuilding model: build-for-rent. It is common in other countries for this type of investment to attract more sizeable, long-term investment capital than is currently the case in the UK.

You can apply for a place at the event using the link below. A lunch will be provided for attendees.

David O'Hara, Founder of Blackthorn Focus, owns shares in Sigma Capital.
